Terry Crews is all pissed off because you got him killed three times!
Video game Movie tie-ins are rarely fun and usually amount to a big pile of nothing and a waste of money at the end of the day. Do I think this game is going to be a ground breaking gem? Not really but it sure will be a fun little Xbox arcade/PSN classic that will pass the time, from Ubisoft.
The basic plot of the game is Barney and company are hired on to rescue the a Chinese Billionaire until things get out of control and things start blowing up in true to life Expendable's fashion.
The thing about this is I just don't know what type of game it is. A run in gun Zombie Apocalypse time game? A side scrolling multiplayer? A roaming RPG? Haha. I'm not sure but I'm interested enough to find out.
So what do you think? What kind of game is this? Will you pick it up? Lets here what you got in the comments below. Thanks for Reading.
Activision throws its own hat into the Walking Dead ring.
Activision has announced that they will be developing a First Person Shooter based on AMC's The Walking Dead in conjunction with Terminal Reality. Now how does one respond to such a claim? With great awe and wonder and then hatred because Activision takes everything one loves and destroys it, again and again and again and again and again....
But anyway the game follows the unlikely but fan favorite characters, Darryl and Meryl Dixon as they navigate this Zombie infested world starting just before the outbreak all the way until the premier of the show. And I have to say, getting that kind of backstory, if done right, will be a terrific way to continue The Walking Dead's rise to awesomeness.
"In the game,"writes Angel Gonzalez on the Playstaion Blog, "you'll need to carefully sneak into and out of some dangerous situations and you may meet a few Walkers along the way. If you show up guns blazing you'll quickly find yourself dealing with a much larger crowd and you could easily become overwhelmed." So basically sound will play a major part in this game.
Now it is unclear what type of game this will be. Linear, RPG, Online, but we do know we will be killing zombies with crossbows, and well, that's just fine.
What do you think? Will this be worth the buy? Or will Activision just try and make it uninspiring and repetitive. Here's to hoping they don't screw the pooch. Leave your two cents below would love to hear what you think. And thanks for reading.
Call Of Duty breaks out of it's tiny repetitive shell.
With hundreds of games on the market, Uncharted, Assassin's Creed, Alan Wake, Battlefield 3, Resident Evil, and so on and so forth, developers are forced to update the way they handle games. With the upcoming slate of titles coming out focusing greatly on story, for a change, (Watchdogs, The Last Of Us) older franchises who have been coasting on the same product hashed out with only slight modifications are strained to do complete overhauls and bring in a tightly knit story to keep their attraction revving on high.
In terms of Black Ops 2, Treyarch (the publisher behind many of the Call of Duties including the highly successful Black Ops) has thought through on how to truly innovate their franchise and make it something new and different than anything we've seen before in terms of linear First Person Shooters.
Treyarch seems to really be more interesting in telling a story that we can get behind and feel for. To have characters we root and care for. Not just throw away characters and story lines like Infinity Ward's version of Call of Duty (Modern Warfare). Black Ops was one step forward having a singular character with a story revolving around him. It was a great game.
In Black Op's 2 they continue with the characters from the first but take it all the way to the year 2025 with new stakes and a highly story driven game that you can change with the choices you make and the battles you win in things they are calling proxy wars allowing for a different game each play through.
And Treyarch has spared no expense hiring a top notch writer, David S. Goyer (one of the writers on the Dark Knight Trilogy and the upcoming Superman Reboot, Man of Steel) and composer Trent Renzor (The Social Network and Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) to really set the mood and give a story worth remember. So lets just hope they manage to take Call of Duty into a new level of gaming.
So what do you think? This game worth the buy? Or is it just going to be the same old same old? Sound off below. Thanks For reading.
Medal Of Honor shows off it's version of Call Of Duty with better graphics.
At first glance it looks exactly like Call Of Duty. Even at second glance. Maybe even on the third but the fourth you can see some differences.
It looks like the game is holding up that close quarters vibe in contrary to Battlefield's vast open large battle arenas. It's good to see I won't have to be running to far after I die to get back into the fight. Oh, and since Battlefield kind of ruined their own game with that stupid server buying option it may be the only thing we get any time soon that's worth playing. At least as EA First Person Shooters go.
The game follows the basic formula of killing to collect points and unleash killstreaks onto the enemies and winning. Probably with a variety of generic modes and maybe one or two new ones that no one will really ever play because everyone is scared of change. But on a really positive side, the maps look better than anything the last Call Of Duty had to offer and slightly less ridiculous. Some of the more creative changes is being that you look to be able to spawn from helicopter's and drop in and fighting as a team against other countries around the world. So that's something.
Let me know what you think? Does it surpass the original? Is it something you wouldn't mind giving a shot? Will it blow Call of Duty Black Op's out of the water? I don't think so. But maybe you do! Let me know below.
