THE WALKING DEAD VIDEO GAME: ANNOUNCEMENT TRAILER

Activision throws its own hat into the Walking Dead ring.

Activision has announced that they will be developing a First Person Shooter based on AMC's The Walking Dead  in conjunction with Terminal Reality. Now how does one respond to such a claim? With great awe and wonder and then hatred because Activision takes everything one loves and destroys it, again and again and again and again and again....

But anyway the game follows the unlikely but fan favorite characters, Darryl and Meryl Dixon as they navigate this Zombie infested world starting just before the outbreak all the way until the premier of the show. And I have to say, getting that kind of backstory, if done right, will be a terrific way to continue The Walking Dead's rise to awesomeness. 

"In the game,"writes Angel Gonzalez on the Playstaion Blog, "you'll need to carefully sneak into and out of some dangerous situations and you may meet a few Walkers along the way. If you show up guns blazing you'll quickly find yourself dealing with a much larger crowd and you could easily become overwhelmed." So basically sound will play a major part in this game. 

Now it is unclear what type of game this will be. Linear, RPG, Online, but we do know we will be killing zombies with crossbows, and well, that's just fine.
